First Birthday Invitation

first birthday invitation, by sandra Your first birthday invitation will be a lovely keepsake and one to put in the album, just looking at it will bring back lots of memories of a great party.

It helps if the invitation can also tell your guests when and where, as well as the theme for the party if you are having one! All you need to put is the date, where and the time.

"Now that our little boy/girl is going to be one, plese come and join the fun"

There are a number of options for your invitations; buy packs of standard invitations, order custom designed cards, or make your own.

Party invitations available in the shops are very cute and for ease these are perfect. You will find invitations for boys and girls with 1 on them and also the most popular children's characters.

You could also use a stationery company to design the cards for you, the price per card could end up being expensive if you ordering a small amount as they will charge for design and then printing. Using a professional stationer is good if you are using your 1st birthday celebrations to bring lots of friends and family together then the price per card will be less due to the higher number.

Making your own 1st birthday party invitations can be fun and the good part is that you can personalise them with photos and their favorite things. Free images from clipart are a good starter for designing your invitation and there are also templates where you can fill in your own details.

If you are more like me where you are happier cutting and making without the computer then you can still create fantastic and unusual invites.

Make Your Own Vintage Inspired 1st Birthday Invitations

A mini hand or foot cut out can be used as a fun invite, or you could unleash your child's creativity by finger painting or foot painting/ printing as the front cover. Make sure you have lots of paper towels, wipes and newspaper to protect everything around you. It is amazing how far paint can go when small children are involved.

For an added wow factor and if you are having a small intimate party you could send a small teddy bear with the invite, and then theme your party as a teddy bear picnic.
